The Battalions of Death & Destruction, Adv. Joseph A.Melamed
On June 28, 1941, six days after the Lithuanian Activist Front (L.A.F) sponsored “Provisional Government” decided to reorganize the forces assigned the task of murdering the Jews of Lithuania. This led to the decision to disband the partisan groups and replace them with regular police battalions, who would deal with the “Jewish problem” more efficiently under the supervision and instruction of the appropriate authorities.
